12Looking for Tens - Triangles - T1 Wk 3

Complete the following:

46 + 4 = 50
37 + 3 = 40
82 + 8 = 90
24 + 6 = 30
71 +  9  = 80
12 + 8 = 20
63 + 7 = 70
96 + 4 = 100
58 + 2 = 60
Now try these!
46 + 14  = 60
37 + 13 = 50
82 + 18 = 100
24 + 16  = 40
71 + 19 = 90
12 + 18 = 30
63 +  17  = 80
96 + 14 = 110
58 + 12 = 70
And these!
46 +  34 = 80
37 + 53 = 90
82 +  = 120
24 + 56 = 70
71 + 49 = 120
12 + 38 = 50
63 + 37 = 100
96 + 54 = 150
58 + 32 = 90

Can you see any patterns?
Explain the patterns you can see.
This week we have been learning about the different parts of a story. You have different kinds of characters who do things that make other characters do something else. This makes even more things happen and it is called the plot. Here is a screenshot of an activity I did.

This is the published version of the recount I wrote in Week 1. I shared it with my friends Dave, Stuart and Bob and they helped me edit it.We were a pretty good team.

Waitangi Day
On Friday night my cousins Lily and Noah and my aunt and uncle came over to my house.  I was so surprised to see them because I didn’t think they were coming to stay until Saturday.  Lily and I slept in my room and Noah slept on the spare-bed.  Lily and I whispered so we didn't wake Noah up and get in trouble.

On Saturday morning we drove up to Waitangi and went on the bus which took us to the marae. The bus trip seemed very long but it had an awesome view.

When we got to the marae the navy band was playing and Lily and I squeezed our way up to the front of the crowd and mum had no idea where we were.  Mum said we were lucky I had a bright orange t-shirt on or else she would have never have found me.

After that, Lily and I went on all the bouncy castles and slides and we went to the slushy place where you make your own flavored slushy.

Then we watched the kapa haka and we ate our massive slushies.  Lily's slushy melted into juice. Isaac also spilled his slushy everywhere even on his shorts.Screenshot 2016-02-18 at 10.06.13.png
