Personifcation


Kia ora this week we have been learning about personification. Personification is when your writing a descriptive sentence of what something would do with out using the word an or like.



  • The Sneakers where so tired by along day of running in the school triathlon.
  • The alarm clock yelled to the girl saying “GET UP IT'S SEVEN AM GET UP GET UP”….
  • The Stop sign scolded the car for driving past a red light.
  • The Eggs were sweating nervously when they saw the hot flames heating up the pan.
  • The piano sang gracefully every time the girl tickled the keys.
  • The moon howled in the night sky

  1. Kia Ora, my name is Aja-Marie and I am from Waima School. I really liked how you emphasised this piece of writing and that you use very useful words. Your vocab is great and I liked how you had a bit of punctuation. It is human like, like the piano and sneakers are alive.
